I’ll take any excuse to eat Mexican food and drink margaritas, so Happy 5 de Mayo!
Remember all of those times I said I prefer my margaritas on the rocks… well, this orange pineapple tequila slush is an exception. The texture when you blend frozen pineapple with a little orange juice, a splash of lime, and a shot of tequila is insanely creamy! It is almost like the perfect booze filled soft serve ice cream.
The recipe for this orange pineapple tequila slush actually came about by accident. Last weekend we were making these tacos for dinner and I had a bunch of fresh pinapple and orange juice leftover. I froze the pineapple, orginally thinking I would make smoothies, but then decided adding tequila would be a much more fun option (logically).
Since I only used frozen pineapple chunks and no ice this orange pineapple tequila slush is super flavorful! The OJ and pineapple are pretty sweet so I added some lime juice for a little tart kick, you can adjust this to your liking.
With only 4 ingredients you can make yourself an orange pineapple tequila slush in no time, cheers!
